The Jersey City Department of Recreation & Youth Development provides residents with a range of aquatic and seasonal recreational opportunities. Pershing Field Pool operates year-round, while Lafayette Pool and Pavonia Pool are open during the summer months. These facilities offer open swim sessions, swim instruction, and water safety education for all ages and abilities.

In the winter, residents can enjoy public skating and learn-to-skate programs at the Charlie Heger Ice Skating Rink at Pershing Field.

All pools are free for Jersey City residents.
Non-resident fees at Lafayette Aquatic Center
$6 weekdays, $8 weekends; seniors $2 daily.
